History
The Huffman family farm land was purchased in the 1870s by Jacob Huffman, Jim Huffman's great-grandfather, and the barn was built in 1900. The farm has been in the family for many years, and the current owner, Jim, is the fourth generation to farm the land and use the barn. The original function of the barn for the Huffman family was a dairy barn. It is now occasionally used to house heifers and dry cows during the cold Wisconsin winters.

"Jacob Huffman, who bought the land and built the barn, specialized in "bee culture" in addition to raising Poland China swine, Durham cattle, and dairying. His apiary at one time comprised of 225 swarms, and he prepared and shared articles on bee culture at Farmers Institutes around the state."
